My cousin Thomas is the son of my favorite uncle who tragically died in his forties. Thomas also happens to be my favorite cousin. Even though he has experienced a heavy loss early on in life, he still maintains an optimism that I greatly admire. Afterall, this is the kid that I accidentally dropped on his head yet got up and laughed it off. Who does that as a baby?

I have a history of knocking this guy’s head around. For most of his life his mom told him he was allergic to alcohol. How very tricky of her. One night, my sis and I decided to test this supposed allergy. By test I mean we got him shitfaced. It didn’t take much. I believe two beers did the trick. In keeping with tradition he slipped and hit his head on my door, making a dent. Of course, he laughed it off but I think the alcohol had something to do with it this time. Anyways, not only did I cause yet another head injury to my poor cousin but possibly brain damage from a nasty hangover. Dude needs to stop hanging around me.

As I said before, I have great admiration for Thomas. Not only can he take a good knock to the head, but he doesn’t blinked when faced with adversity. He always finds a way to uplift out of any emotional quagmire and stay on course with his pursuits. He always tries to make his own way in the world and not place any additional burdens on others. Above all else, he has an uncanny ability to find the good in people. It’s a trait few people possess.

He’s currently in LA trying to make it in the “biz”. Being in the entertainment industry seems to run in the family blood. I’m definitely rooting for him! He’s going to have deal with guys like this…
